FSX activate by MS not possible anymore

Recommended Posts

Hi, After 7 yrs I had to remove my FSX from my WIN XP-PC because of bugs. Reinstallation worked fine, product key was accepted, but the activation by internet did not work. When calling the support of MS they told me there is no support for WIN XP and the FSX any longer. So I have a legal software and cannot run it. Does anybody have a suggestion?

I have moved you into the appropriate forum for your question.  Have you looked into your main FSX folder and found the phone activation file?  It is a list of toll free phone numbers.  The voice is automated and will ask for your code to be entered.  Give it a try!

@MAX_13

It could also be that your antivirus fireworks prevents you from communicating the FSX key with the Microsoft server or even, before, when I used FSX Gold, I had the problem that sometimes, (many times), I installed FSX Gold during the weekend and I could not activate my license, perhaps because the microsoft server was off ???, I do not know.

On the other hand, I remind you that the first version of FSX, (Not FSX Gold), had problems with license activation and that is why service pack 1 (SP1) was developed which solved activation problems.

I recommend you that  use Windows 10 basically for security and if in the end you cannot activate FSX, try FSX STEAM EDITION, with it you will not have any activation problems. Also before any reinstallation make sure there are no remnants of the previous installation.

For a new or fresh install, I highly recommend FSX Steam Version.
