MU-2 fuel management

Recommended Posts

Hi,

What's the recommended fuel management technique on the MU-2? I'm tempted to follow the practice common on airliners to burn from the center tank first to reduce wing loading, but not sure if that is advisable on this aircraft.

According to AOM you burn from Tip Tanks first then Wing Tanks, and finally Center Tanks.

Great, thanks, I thought might be so. The FSW manual has a part that describes how the fuel system operates in the real aircraft and the sim, but doesn't offer a prescription for use. Thanks for the AOM procedure.

If the fuel transfer switches are set to "auto", the system burns the fuel as sgreen91 has described.
