Linda 3.2.4 Runtime error [resolved]

Recommended Posts

The update from Linda 3.2.0 to 3.2.4 at P3dv5 causes a runtime error 216 for me,
version 3.2.0 works without problems. Fsuipc 6.0.8 is installed for linda 3.2.0
as well as for linda 3.2.4. I have installed in P3dv5 Modules folder.

Do you have an idea what the problem could be?

Cheers
Karl

please confirm you are using a /modules folder inside your P3Dv5 folder containing all the fsuipc6 and LINDA files. Please post a screenshot of the folder. For P3Dv5 an install in /documents/Prepar3D v5 add-ons/ is recommended.

Please follow the fault diagnosis procedure and send me the logs. please send screenshot on error message.

Please follow this procedure (click to open) and email me the full fsuipc6log and linda2.log. Do not paste logs into forum. The error about Timers can be ignored. Any screenshots of your /modules file structure and the runtime error message should also be emailed.

I need to work out what I may have changed between 3.2.0 and 3.2.4. It is difficult for me to test problems using the non-standard /modules installation (I use the recommended/p3d v5 add-ons folder method).

Before you do the uninstall and reinstall can you run the procedure and send me the logs as I need to see what the problem might be.

I did an uninstall and reinstall of FSUIPC6 6.0.8 in the P3Dv5/modules folder. P3Dv5, FSUIPC6 and LINDA 3.2.5 (dev version) run ok without any runtime errors.

I am unsure why you got the error you did. If the problem persists please email me the fsuipc6.log and linda2.log to linda @ awginfosys.net. Ensure your select Maintenance / Fault Diagnosis Mode ON and allow P3D and LINDA to run, operate some buttons and fully close P3D.

Andrew,

thank you so much for trying to help me. I did a restore of an older p3d version and windows system,
then installed the latest version LINDA_3_2_4_1057 and everything works.
I suspect a windows problem, but I don't have the time or inclination to look for it further.
Thanks again for the great support and cheers

Karl
