Gear Horn Silence Button

Recommended Posts

Hello, my Gear horn silence button does not work and even with the gear down it does not stop.

Some can help me with this issue?

Thanks.

Does it require flaps to be down as well? Just a guess.

Sometimes, even with flaps full and gear down, the horn does not stop.

Even though, the button should work.

I do not believe the button works.. but you should be able to change the logic so that the horn only sounds when you believe that it should..

Edit.. just looked at the code.. it is just sloppy coding.. send me a PM for an updated Gauge_CLOCK_DIG gauge to disable the horn..

BTW.. if you mouse over the button, do you get a Tooltip?

And if yes, what does it say?

Hi Bert. How are you doing? Thanks for the answer.

No, I don't get a tooltip. However this button works in the B350i, so then I thought in the C90 would work as well.

I changed the aircraft.cfg just like the B350i, but now it does not sound anymore hehehe.

I'll send you a PM.

Thanks again, Bert.

(The part of aircraft.cfg I changed)

[gear_warning_system]
gear_warning_available = 0    //Normal
pct_throttle_limit =  0.3    //Percent throttle that activates warning
flap_limit_idle    =  0       //Flap angle that activates warning at idle
flap_limit_power   =  40      //Flap angle that activates warning at above idle

That'll work beautifully...Until your first 'gear up' landing. Aaaagh! I got no warning. 😄

I looked and found that what I did was to rename the GEAR WARNING wav file for the C90GTX.  Sledge Hammer maybe..  anything to turn off the darn noise 🙂

Can happen in RW as shown by the recent terrible PIA crash.
