How so? I could easily claim the opposite and yet I believe it depends on the specific chart you're looking at.

I find that in many cases of more remote places the Jeppesen charts are incomplete or outdated. LIDO not so much.

Do you expect them to have recorded audio for each?

There are text to speech programs who know how to phonetically combine syllables correctly.

They are used in car navigation for example.

But this is a game, not a car!

About 5 or 6 years now. They were one of the hot items for our Center Examiner so we made sure to point them out to everyone who was getting a type.

Understood. But as they’re not used by ATC they can be ignored by all except pilots etc.

It’s not that fixes are not pronounceable, it is agreeing out how to pronounce them. Unless there is a “phonics for fixes” standard out there, a lot of times pronunciation just falls into local knowledge.

I very much doubt you’re going to hear waypoints pronounced. There are tens of thousands making it impossible for even Microsoft. They frequently change too so it’s a non-starter. Even SIDs and STARs won’t be pronounced.

That’s news to me. They must be a recent addition.

In Nevada, south of Las Vegas is a waypoint “ZZYZX”.

It’s named after a small town in the California desert that actually bears that name. (Pronounced “Ziz ziks”). It’s somewhat famous in the west, as there is is an exit for the town right on the main interstate highway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

I'd maybe even prefer it.

Why would you prefer to pay more money?

The voices are terrible!  Is Fs2004/FSX, the voices were fairly realistic.  These...ones sound..like a robot...is talking...

I disagree, the new FS2020 ones sound a lot better.

Just watching the IFR episode now and is it me or does it seem laggy at times? I guess they are using 2080 Ti's but seems like they still are not powerful enough to handle this sim?

Should be fine with Ampere 3080 Ti.

Je ne vois pas de problèmes avec les nuages, leur couleurs et forme sembles correct. To me those clouds looks perfectly normal, just the typical orange sunset light reflecting on them

The real photos that you shared are transformed anyway so really not a good point of reference for me and not want to argue about it.

I'm not at all convinced by the clouds either. I have nothing to say about the IFR video  and all the others. The work is exceptional!  but the cloud layer did not bring me much emotion.Even the sky is sometimes look like cartoon. There is no "demonstration" in my act but some things I don't like.

Ye I kinda agree with the clouds, they seemed to be much better in earlier previews I've seen, not sure why they look so cartoony in this one.  Maybe it's because they are being viewed through the cockpit glass.

All of the current sims can generate wonderful screenshots. It's when you put things to motion when things start to fall apart. Take for example X-Plane. It can create awesome moments but oh wait, here comes the weather update. Empty skies for 5 seconds and then the clouds reappear. There goes the immersion.

MSFS also seems to in a lot of ways fall short when in motion. Their autogen is really popping in like in good old FSX

Hell don't know what's bothering you, but the voices seems great to me, way better than they ever were in FSX.

Probably just me but I was looking for over blown anime cartoon avatars in the corner of the screen to frame those lines in a speech bubble.

I shall check PFPX tomorrow and see if it’s there.
