I am looking for a throttle control that will control anything from a cub to a 747.

I am not worried about the cost for just one item as long as it is the best that I can buy and will control all the aircraft  that I mentioned.

Thanking all you great Sim Flyers in advance.

I settled on the PFC Flight Controls throttle quadrant.  There aren't a lot of options that are versatile enough to cover the full range of acft.

Depending on whether you're a stickler for the right lever config or not, you have the option of buying different lever sets that mount to the front of the quadrant with two thumbscrews...about a 3-minute swap operation.

The 4-lever jet quadrant is the most versatile, unless you want prop and condition levers to have different knobs.  At that point it's just a matter of how much you want to spend on the rather pricy lever sets.

The Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant is coming very soon!  I'll have mine in a couple of weeks (demo version).

Hope this timing is good news.  Have been waiting for word after this pandemic broke out and flow of goods from China slowed. Was concerned that final development and subsequent release might be pushed well off of plans.

Will you make a review like the one you did for the Alpha ?

I would appreciate while (patiently) waiting for the official delivery

Thanks - Gérard

Yes sir, absolutely!  In fact, I'm also hoping to do a live stream of the quadrant, not just in using it, but taking it a part.  Those with questions will be able to pop into our Discord Server to ask questions if they'd like and ask to see things.  Guess it will be Flight Sim Hardware Porn....  LOL!  But I will do a written one as well.

Thanks for asking!

Me too Frank.  I had a nice chat with Nicki just the other day and thus far no worries.  But like you, I'm cautiously optimistic.

If you are looking for the most precise throttles with cost as no object, take a look at Virtual Fly.  All of their throttles are 100% metal, made with Hall sensors.  I settled on two separate throttles.  The TQ6 for multi engines and the Vernio for single engines.  The Vernio is the most precise control out there--no comparison anywhere.

Forever indebted to the late Michael Greenblatt of FSGS.

Another VP guy?  VP-44 here.

Anyway, I've used them and liked them, especially for GA flying.  But I fly a lot of different aircraft including different airliners and turbo props, so for roughly half the cost I get a multi-configurable, 6 lever thrust/throttle quadrant with gear lever, annunicator and multiple switches that I easily configure any way I wish.  I've used the Honeycomb, but once I get it here I'll put it through the paces.

Best wishes.

thanks Dave.  Keep us posted.  The honeycomb is appealing to me also but I have a feeling my next one will be the TQ3 because of the hall sensors.  I only use one throttle lever no matter if I'm flying a 172 or 747.  The other two go to flaps/spoiler.  I love my logitech throttle because of it's simplicity.  Those 6 buttons are nice to have too.  But I know the pot sensors will give out eventually on it.

Just heard from Honeycomb's CEO, no delays expected with shipments from the plant, so, good news confirmed!

So does mean there is now a firm timetable?

Ah, I would ask you to ask Honeycomb that directly via their Facebook page.  That's WAYYYY out of my lane!
