Milviz Beech KA350i Released

the worst tutorial ever seen

the birds fly nice , the fms works , the prolems seems to be the user.

Capt. Mac's videos aren't the best, lol.

I just completed a nice, short flight from KSAN to KPSP.  The KA is great for sure.

If anyone is on the fence, jump off - it is an excellent purchase.

After watching all the things he did incorrectly,

Maybe if Milviz had included proper manuals and tutorials, folks wouldn't be flailing around and struggling. These videos are killing Milviz's sales, probably.

I'll wait for the inevitable 50% off sale on Orbx. Might buy it then.

how are frame rates in v5? (noticed also that this is for 4.5 only?)

MV is waiting for the upcoming v5 HF before supporting it.  Frame rates in my 4.5 are excellent.

Just purchased it and am in ground school trying to learn it. I took a couple basic flights and am very impressed so far. The manuals are on the sparse side as a lot are saying. The downside of these "study level" aircraft is that you need to take a course at Flight Safety to learn to operate them correctly.  That's ok because that is what keeps them interesting for me. Fortunately I do have some familiarity with the PL-21 so I do not have to learn that.

So far, in my opinion, it just needs a little more depth in the systems descriptions and a good procedural tutorial. I am glad to see that there are some experienced B350 pilots on the forum to get answers from.

Anyone know what "Render to Texture" does in the MVAMS?

Well I just brought and installed it. It's actually a few dollars more expensive on ORBX for me and I'm not convinced this product will go on sale there unless Milviz OK's it.  So if it sucks, it's on me.

"Render to transparent surfaces"? Cockpit instrument and glass reflections maybe? I just installed it, so if I remember, I'll come back here and say.  If someone doesn't answer before that.

I just did a search for render to texture on the Milviz KA350i forums and got no results. I didn't see anything in the manual about it. I am more interested in it's affect on performance and why it is an option.

Thanks to the manual links by Dave (NYXX) and the comments by KenG my ground schooling is going well though. There are some very useful performance charts on the Milviz K350i forum also.

I know the purist will jump on this but I had hoped they would add GTN 750 to the panel for us that are not good at, or into, airline style route planning...

I fly the one in Xplane because it does have GTN 750 in the panel.

Paul, Can't you do that with the Carenado Beechcraft? I like this one because it doesn't have a GTN750 in it. I have plenty of planes with GTN750s.

Yep, I hear you. Different choices for everyone. I’ve got neighbours that spend $10/day x 2 for cigarettes and they wonder why they’re tight on money.  That’s their choice. If  you’re able to swing it in the future I think you’ll find you get your money’s worth. I’ve really enjoyed learning the PL21.

That and $4 and up coffee's.  Never understood that. They spend $1,000s on those items.  If one does do that, then please I just don't want to hear their money complaints.

I hope they can implement RNAV and LPV for the PL21 soon 😄 and then integrate it to the lear 60XR and finally release it 😄

Paul I won't try to persuade you but I will haha!

The King air is right up your alley!  The FMS is logical and simple to use.  Starting the thing up is fairly simple too.  Just like when using the GTN you'll have to set your "CDI" source to FMS (instead of GPS) or just use VLOC and fly using VORs etc.  Comms are simple to operate on the PL21 too.  The AP - you don't have to even use it, or just use simple pitch modes like VS and NAV or HDG for lateral modes.  Maybe once David puts out his tutorial it would make the decision easier for you!

Ok, ok, I'll be buying it 😉 Seriously, thank you all for the great input, good, bad, and not soo good - yet always objective! I never liked the F1 B200, but that was just personal preference, but I very much like the unique avionics Milviz used. Hopefully v5 will be out soon.

Cheers,

Pete
