I do have the Garmin Aviation Trainers app open on my desktop and the GTN Xi trainer is powered on. Still have a black screen when the 750 is opened in X-Plane.

Hi,

you're not running the latest RXP GTN which is 2.5.26.0

Furthermore, the product uses the GTN trainer, not the GTN Xi trainer.

Should the Garmin trainer be installed on C:\Program Files? Or does it need to go on the same drive as XP11?

Although the Garmin trainer and its database can be installed on any drive, some customers have reported having issues sometimes when installed in anything other than the default "C:Program Files (x86)".

If you have limited space on "C:" I'd suggest you try the trainer on the default folder (it is not big an installation) and the DB onto another drive (this is the biggest chunk) and see if this works as-is. If not, you can manually configure RXP environment variables in order to override the paths (see User's Manual).

All is good!! Updated the version and trainer software and it's perfect now. Thanks so much. Amazing product.
