C:\ close to FULL

My C;\ Hard drive in soon going to be full. How can I reduced the files in C:\ Drive. Temp files and download files has all duplicate  files. If I dele them I will gain 127GB.

Can I do it?🤔

My download location is my E Drive not my C Drive that way I keep my C drive for windows, do you have other drives if not I would get one and install a cheap SATA drive for storage, I also have a external 4TB drive to store backups on.

You can delete temp files something you should do regularly you can also delete downloaded files but you may have re-download again if needed.

If you don't need those files again, then yes, of course you may delete them.

Also, clean out old Windows update files:

Raymond is right. Set your temp and download folders to another drive (if possible). If you find that you are running out of disk space regularly, an additional HDD or SSD will be useful.

Turn off hibernation it wil net you however much ram you have back. In my case 32gb on a ssd isnt bad

I had to empty 20 G from a folder called webcache found in

&*(&*(]\appdata/local/Microsoft/Windows/webcache

 

it will delete history of web sites visited

 

and again once it was called webcache.old om the next startup
