Joe, since you quoted my post: For you to know I got that before Pete posted in this thread, we've known each other's names online since circa 2006 or so. So that was not a news about John for me but I knew Pete followed this forum and would comment here earlier. However in my original post I misspelled Pete's last name and had to apologize. Do you get that altogether with my quote now, Joe?

Glad we both have known Pete for quite sometime he's a great contributor to our hobby and his son will carry on well.

Yes I get it now.

I don't have academic.  I have Professional.  Are you saying to completely remove Professional?  Wouldn't that be a total uninstall and make me have to install all my addon sceneries and planes?

I did a Client, Content, and Scenery uninstall and reinstall.  I deleted my shaders, and renamed my CFG so that a new one was generated.

No, it would not be a complete uninstall, you'll still have your files and addons.

I don't know what is left if you don't uninstall the top item as I've never tried it, but I would recommend uninstalling all four items OR as Ron said, just uninstall item 1 (Prepar3d v5 Academic/Professional), and the rest will follow.

V5 addons and. Xml files remain.

Scenery.cfg I am not 100 percent sure. But everytime we get a new beta build, we uninstall and install the full blown again.

I always find all addons, including ORBX global, etc since I have everything installed outside the sim.

I did what Oz said. Nothings missing. It leaves the v5 folder and files that are not p3d. Just need to update addons .

Where are all the negative Nancy’s posting thread after thread of how terrible V5 is, or that everyone is crashing, their 64gb video card is maxxed out at 720p, or that the unmentionable sim is going to crush it?

glad we have moved past that.

Downloading ASP3D Full Installer/Update (P3Dv5 HF2)!!

I am having one problem, and that is with Active Sky (whilst using the latest ASP3D beta).

I get a "P3D connector - Incompatible P3D version" error, which flags that as_connect is designed to be used with an earlier version.

I've been over to the HiFi beta forum. There is a thread there with someone getting this with an earlier version of P3D, the advice was to perform a clean install. Done that, no luck. Manually ran the ASP3Dv5ConnectorInstall program, still get the same error.

Next plan would be to uninstall, clean folders again, but this time reinstall in default location AND manually run ASP3Dv5ConnectorInstall, and see if that makes any difference.

How are people going with ASP3D? Is it working for you, or are you getting the "P3D connector notification" error.

By the way, ASP3D connects to the sim, it just doesn't inject any weather.

EDIT: by "latest version", I meant the one that you could download an hour or so ago. I see they now have a Beta 6 v7479 - I suspect that's actually what I need! 🙂

EDIT 2: Yeah, that one works for me just fine. Pretty quick update by the HiFi boys, I was just an hour or two too eager in getting V5HF2 installed!

No issues here with the latest ASP3D beta (7479) and P3Dv5HF2. I hope you're able to solve the issue and wish I had other advice.

It seems there's only one incompatibility with HF2 so far and it is FFTF Dynamic P3Dv5 (v1.0.24)

PS: ASP3D and EZCA are Ok.

Maybe...but I mean it is so good and P3Dv5 is soooo bad...why waste the time coming back here to stir the pot?

Updating now.....excited for the couple of VR changes.
