For me, P3d V5 HF2 Hangs on Exit

Recommended Posts

Pretty consistent.  Have done a full re-install, but have not disabled addons yet.  Anyone else seeing hangs on exit which often need a task manager touch to close the P3d executable.  Also makes it come up in a minimized screen when restarting.

Anyone Else?

TIA,

-Braun

can you check your Windows Event Viewer log? Is there an Error entry fort the time when P3D starts hanging?

Same here. I believe the problem is caused by Flight1 GTN Complete. The event viewer says the problem is from GTN Simulator.exe

Looked in the EV. Only app errors I saw were for GTN-750 Complete, the new 2.20 ver released for HF2.

removed GTN and P3D HF2 hang on close is also gone.

thanks for the tip

I can concur that I'm having the same problem with the 650/750. All the problems with the F1 GTNs lately are really pushing me towards RXP... I already got their GNS 430 & 530 and they've been flawless.🙃

send the error reports to the developers, they will help them to figure out what causes the crash

No problem on my setup.

P3Dv5HF2 closes down within 5 seconds  / (P3Dv4.5HF3) takes maybe 9 seconds.

I use Flight1 GTN Complete and Ezdok also in both sims.

Same here, although I use Chaseplane instead. There must be some other factor causing the issue.

Interesting on the two last posts with a working GTN setup. Enough are experiencing this that I’m sure it will get sorted. In the meantime, I’ve switched back to RXP GTN 750. I had bought it some time back but did not grow fond of it, and I went back to my trusty F1 Complete.

I did not grow fond of RXP because I did not RTFM. Now that I have RTFM, I am rapidly growing quite fond of it and I am sure I will finally retire my long time friend of many iterations, F1 GTN

I have both installed and no hang up on exiting P3Dv5HF2.

But, I cannot get the G600 Pop Up to work so maybe that will cause the delay when I figure out what's wrong with the G600 pop up:
