Updating GNS-430 AND 530 Version 1 to Version 2 (resolved)

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Hope some one can help here. I got both the GNS-430WAAS and 530 looking at the version these are from 2012 and version 1. Problem I am having is that the RX530 has gone in on my A2A Cessna C172 Trainer and works well, but for some reason I can't get the 530 to show in my new A2A Cessna 182. When I open up the RX config app where it lists all my aircraft it lists the 182. It installs all the various lines in the Aircrafts panel config but am not able to see it n the aircraft. QUESTION: Do I need to re-purchase these again which seems a pointless exercise when I already have them. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What do you mean:

Which simulator are you running?

Hi, Sorry about that. I'm on FSX ACCEL. I can get the RX530 to work in the A2A Cessna C172 with no problems, but it just wont show in my new A2A Cessna C182T. Added some more info on my main section.

All sorted - The Aircraft has a Aircraft Configurator so just went in there and switched from DEFAULT to RX and hey Presto all working.
Many Thanks
