FSX-MS Another SODE process is still running in the background

Hello everyone.

I bought gsx level 2 a few weeks ago and it was working perfectly fine until this morning while i was flying my sim crashed and i got this error message "Another SODE process is still running in the background". I have tried many ways to fix it through forums but i am not able. Help would be appreciated! Thanks

Hi Hugo,

There was another thread opened on the subject of duplicate SODE processes which you might find useful

It seems that it is often due to another add-on installing an additional version of SODE and I did wonder about trying to uninstall one of them but I wasn’t quite clear what I was doing so I left them alone. 

When I get the message about another SODE process running (usually as FSX is opening) I use a utility called Process Explorer to find any SODE processes running in the background and kill them just keeping one active. That seems to do the trick for me anyway.
