RXP GNS 530 FSX SE crash when ALT-TAB (resolved)

Recommended Posts

Bought RXP GNS 530 for FSX SE, now I can't change tasks (alt tab), because the sim crashes.....

Looks like RXP is loading in a full screen or something.

Tons of addons here and nothing is buggy as this thing.

Hi,

Let me try to help you.

First, the GNS is not opening anything in full screen at all: it is gauge displaying in your cockpit via the FSX popup windows or directly on a 3D cockpit in 3D.

Can you please use this and report the content of the latest FSX-SE crash information:

Hello,

It's not even a crash.. it's just buggy. When I do Alt-Tab the FSX SE screen opens black and "unclicable". Looks like some weird thing between the FSX SE full screen and your prodduct.

I'm using FSX Borderless, which runs fsx in window mode "simulating" a full screen.

Ok but what about not using FSX Bordeless which is clearly interfering with how FSX-SE windows are supposed to run, that is how the FSX code was designed to run with a known set of window presentation and behavior characteristics, which are no longer matched if a hack is changing them?

Is this working in this case?

Hi,

The GTN Trainer ships with a more recent DB cycle 1909. It is not 'transferable' to use in the GNS.

However, I'd suggest you review the dedicated discussion in this forum, starting with the recommended posts "to the letter":

I was reading this topic now, the problem is I downloaded a more recent Garmin Trainer setup and the databse is not working with GNS 530 V2!

The version is 6.6... the db_2.bin files are not working with RXP

There is a way to have a refund?

Since I have this prodduct I've been having problems and needing to do this and this and that to simply update a database.

If I could have the refound, I would buy the GTN, more updated.
