Majestic Dash 8 Q400 v1.021 Update (P3Dv5 Compatibility)

Recommended Posts

My first flight last night was flawless;

1. Did those having problems with instruments have the v4 version previously installed in v5? I did not.

2. Are you loading a simple aircraft eg the cub first, and then switching to Q400? This is my current standard practice, as I was getting CTDs with direct loading of some complex aircraft in earlier, less stable versions of P3D v5.

Just two thoughts for those who are having problems, might be worth considering whether this of other common factors are the issue.

It is pretty smooth flying for me so far.

What I did after installation is that in the control panel, I set the timing source to "queue timer" and FDE FSX Sync to "Enable"

Your mileage may vary and take note that I never ran the plane in the opposite modes so I am not sure if that is what's causing the problems on some hardware.

I had a problem with the pop-up instruments flickering but after I played around with the graphics setting in the config tool it seems to be all sorted out now.

Ok we have pinpointed an issue within the Q400 PILOT edition x64 that would cause the Q400 to CTD.

We have made available a temporary patch "dll rev. 2" which will be available via the USER AREA on the Majestic Software website.

This is ONLY for PILOT edition users using P3D v4.5 and v5

PRO users still experiencing CTDs kindly advice via a thread related to CTDs in v4.5 & v5

The Majestic Team.
