P3Dv5 RAS Duke B60 Flaps sound

Hi. I have the Duke B60 running in P3D v5 and find the flaps are rather loud when operating (Which is probably modeling from the real Aircraft ). Is there a way to turn them down a bit ? Thanks

Mine, in the contrary, are way too silent. Gear is ok.

In the panel\sound folder for the Duke, there is an RAS Duke ini file which contains Duke flaps sounds with a volume control..

This is what I've got:

Sound125=./SimObjects/Airplanes/RealAir Duke B60 V2/Panel/Sound/FlapMotorStart.wav, -2600
Sound126=./SimObjects/Airplanes/RealAir Duke B60 V2/Panel/Sound/FlapMotorLoop.wav, -2600
Sound127=./SimObjects/Airplanes/RealAir Duke B60 V2/Panel/Sound/FlapMotorStop.wav, -2600

Thanks for your help guys. I tried lowering the -2600. But it made no difference. At least I know where the .WAV files are located (Thanks for that Bert) and might try lowering volume in something like Audacity Thanks again Paul

Let me know if using Audacity works. I have a good deal of outside work to accomplish today, but would get to this next.  I have been flying the Duke the past seven days and every time I engage or disengage the flaps my two dachshunds go crazy, barking.....

Hi. Yes I lowered the 3 wav files In Audacity by selecting all of each file individually, going to "Effect" then "Amplify". In my case I lowered it by -15 but I think -10 is good. And finally Exported them as a wav file back into Duke panel/sound folder. And it is now dachshunds proof 😀. But obviously I backed up the original 3 wav files first. Hope this works for you too. I also tried the .ini file method and it made no difference but Audacity did the trick. I also reduced the level on the landing gear loop. What I do have a problem with though, is some sort of buffeting noise I get bewteen 130 and 105kts, climbing and descending. I've listened to all the .wav files and cannot find it. Any ideas anyone?
