Anyone thinking of getting the physical version?

Can't see it up on the aerosoft site yet.

None of the partner sites have been updated yet sadly. As long as it does not come with a price premium and the box is decent, I will certainly go for the physical edition. Will be nice to have it sitting next to my copies of Flight Simulator 2004 & X, and to save some time from downloading 150GB worth of data. They probably won't fit all of it on disc, but in my case such a download would take a week to complete so anything is welcome.

Anyone else whose pre ordered noticed the date in the MS email says available August 17th? I’m wondering is that a day earlier for people pre ordering?

Also more than likely it will be available on Steam before the release date.

Well to be exact the game will be available August 17th at 11:00pm. Right before midnight hits which will be August 18th.

ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII ▪︎ Intel i9-10900K ▪︎ NVIDIA RTX 3090 FE ▪︎ 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro ▪︎ Windows 10 Pro (21H1) ▪︎ Samsung 970 EVO Pro 1TB NVME SSD (OS Drive) ▪︎ Samsung 860 EVO 2TB SATA SSD ▪︎ Seagate 4TB SATA HDD ▪︎ Corsair RMx 850W PSU

Wow what an amazing surprise to start the week! Going to hold off buying for at least a few weeks so I can build my next PC appropriately.

The pricing model is interesting  (the 787-10 is an awesome surprise!).

I obviously want as many detailed airports as possible, but considering I'll probably still want payware quality for several major airports and airliners, I am curious as to how soon to the release of the sim will Third parties like Flightbeam, Flytampa, FSDT, PDMG, Quality Wings, etc. will make their products available.

For me, there might not necessarily be a need to get the super premium version if the QW 787 is available on or near release day or the Flightbeam SFO is as well since I'll probably pay for those anyway.

Either way, as someone who grew up on FS2004 and FSX, I'm so pumped to finally try the most advanced sim we've ever seen.

Best regards, happy flying,

Well what an unexpected surprise.  I thought I had more time to build my new PC, but I guess the time has come.  Looks like I have some component ordering to do tonight!!!

Wow...just started screaming and running through the house like a little boy and my wife/kids like what is wrong with this man...

Checklist so-far:

  • Premium deluxe version purchased
  • 1TB NVMe just for MSFS purchased
  • Initial add-on Google Maps ready (a very respectable and cosmopolitan list of airports, btw).

Yup I too got this.

On the Microsoft store page for the Premium Deluxe version, there's a screenshot of the 787 Dreamliner.
