I know that I want it and I want to support the devs and MS for their decision to give us a next-gen flightsim. Check the other thread, will be able to download the sim a couple of days early so ready to play at launch if you’ve pre ordered. That’s good enough for me.

July 26, 20205 yr I am lucky, got no wife to worry about, only problem is i lost my job due to virus so i also have no money to buy the sim

July 28, 20205 yr I did not subscribed and bought the standard version. In my Windows Apps under Microsoft Flight Simulator, if i click on it I get this message: We know you really want to get started, but you’ll have to wait a bit longer. Check the store for the launch date. If I go to the store, it says this product is installed and then when I hit the "Play" on the screen, I get the same message as above. So, it appears, like some other games, installation is ready to go once released for download. Hope I am right.
July 28, 20205 yr A good way to see if it all is there is to check the size of the product on your computer. You will probably have to wait, like the others that not pre-ordered, for the complete download on launch day. At least you can look at the icon & even click it until then. July 29, 20205 yr My opinion. If you can wait until August 18th, you can wait until 20th. And even buying a month of game pass and take advantage of it. I’m not friend of buying things without any review. Neither about prepurchase things I can’t test.
July 29, 20205 yr The $1 gamepass is only valid for a month, Buy it, dontbuy it, wait a day, 2 days, a month, whatever.. The rush & pre-order is getting boring now. Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
July 29, 20205 yr One question here from my side. I have read here that the in-box 747 will be developed by PMDG. Is that really true? Its not so easy to find any official information on that. If that would be the case, regarding the 747 it would be the top most product using best graphics. I just found the official anouncement of the PMDG products for FS as Add-Ons. Thanks in advance.

July 29, 20205 yr Ah, I should have searched it here in AvSim before. There is a link on that topic: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/575727-what-does-pmdg-have-to-do-with-the-747/?tab=comments#comment-4242382 Ok. Just rumors. My personal feeling is that FS will be top of the top when the graphics are combined with professional add-ons. Or at least I give it a chanche in 3 weeks. Edited July 29, 20205 yr by BigDee
July 29, 20205 yr Wow. What a journey. I've been away on X-Plane since XP10 and now am dying to get back in the fold. Just now sitting here waiting for UPS to drop off my Honeycomb yoke. The big issues for me is which version to get. I really only fly a couple planes and will likely buy a Dash-8 the moment it's available as that's what I enjoy most (hoping Majestic is working on it) so the additional planes mean virtually nothing to me. That means it boils down to whether or not I spend DOUBLE the price to get three upgraded airports (as I also only really fly in the US) (KORD, KDEN and KSFO). Of course they're all majors. That works out to $20 a scenery which isn't terrible. Then of course is the big question. My PC is several years old so I might go through all this only to find I can't run the thing. I don't really want to drop $2k into this right now so we'll have to see. The setup currently runs XP11 pretty decently and I have a FiOS GB connection so maybe I'll be okay. All I know is that it's great to be looking at a return to the fold again. i7 8700K @4Ghz, EVGA RTX3080 Ultra, 32GB RAM, Two 2K displays. Alpha Yoke, Bravo Throttle Quadrant, CH Pedals.
