I am thinking of upgrading my 40" Samsung 1920 X1080 TV for a 4K TV - this one https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-and-home-entertainment/televisions/televisions/lg-43um7050plf-43-smart-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-led-tv-10206392-pdt.html

The maximum size of monitor I can have is a 43" screen

This will be to run XPlane 11 via a GTX1080 graphics card.

Would the above TV be ok. Any help/advice much appreciated.

I run X-Plane 11 Vulcan and presently have a 27 inch 2560x1440 monitor and a GTX1080 (8G). I built a full-size Cessna open cockpit and would like to place a 43 inch 4K TV behind it to replace the 27 inch monitor. I’m after the same information and want to thank any member offering their thoughts.

Regards,

JJ

Before I upgraded my PC I was running X-Plane 11.4 on a 43 inch Samsung 4K TV with a 1070 graphics card, and I had no problems even with ORBX TE-GB. However, all my simming is with GA aircraft so I can't comment on performance with complex tubeliners, and I had my new system before X-Plane introduced Vulkan so I don't know how performance would be with 11.5.

Thank you Muklum.  I also fly mostly GA aircraft so your reply is very good news to me.
