Does G-Sync make a difference in P3D or will for Fs20 ?

I’ve made a little home work on the topic, looking at Nvidia video and reading articles. Nothing really convincing but I see some fellow simmers like @Arwen recently going for it. More convincing.

What are your thoughts ?

I've had an Acer Predator X27 for the last several months (my first G-Sync monitor) and can confidently say that G-Sync will be a "must have" on any future monitor purchase. The complete elimination of tearing at all frame rates really enhances immersion; all movement is completely fluid.

I'm not sure about P3D because I no longer use it but it works great in MSFS alpha/beta.  I have not used v-sync, limited frames, half refresh rates, etc. since getting a g-sync monitor and it's been the most fluid experience I have ever had in simming/gaming.

G-Sync for me is a game changer. Literally. THE number one thing I would I would look for in any monitor purchase. Also, I’d make sure it was an actual G-async board too, and not a compatible one. They have much better VRR. And G-sync ultimate, well, it’s brilliant! 
It completely smoothed XP11 for me. And I assume it will do the same for the new MSFS.

Literally just bought my Alienware 34 Monitor - AW3420DW and then read this thread, and glad too see your recommendation.  I also felt native gsync would be important, and should play nicely with the sli combination of gtx2080ti’s that I just ordered for my new machine.

Ok, so I have a 3-4 year old system (i7-7700k, Strix  z270e 32gigs DDR-4 RAM, Strix GTX GTX1070) and a really old LED 23" LG IPS LED monitor. I am not necessarily upgrading my hardware at this point but do want to upgrade my monitor. I really like the Ultrawides leaning towards the 3440x1440 as it seems that my card should be able to push it but I am reading conflicting information on here saying that UHD with a lower refresh rate is the way to go for flightsim as that is the only thing I "play" on my machine. I like the looks of the 34" AOC ultrawide that is at a nice price point on Amazon ($437) but I really am intrigued with the whole freesync vs g-sync. In ya'lls opinion, what would be the best monitor for my setup?

Yep. I have an LG 27GL850 and the difference is amazing. G-Sync all the way.
