FS2CREW Panels on 2nd Monitor.

Recommended Posts

Hello !! Im using P3DV5 with updated FS2CREW NGXu...... I have a 2-Monitor Setup where I use my Secondary one for screens like Charts, ActiveSky, VPilot adn such as I like my main Cockpit panel in Full Screen mode and clean of other windows.  With this in mind, I tried moving to my 2nd Monitor both your main and Sec Panels with NO success.  First time it happens for me.

Am I Doing something wrong ?

Hope you can help me !

Thanks in advance !

Right click and undock... drag panel over to 2nd monitors... worked for me in full and windowed mode.

It's just a panel window like any other... nothings changed.

Cheers,

The panel went to my 2nd monitor on my system.

Anyone else?

It could just be some weird gremlin in P3D v5.

Actually, now it worked fine !! Dont know why it didnt before.  HOWEVER, when undocking your SEC Panel, there is a black box on the upper left corner of it that only goes away if I Dock the panel back.  There are NO problems now with the main, only this issue with your SEC one...... (see IMAGE).fs2crew.jpg

I was able to reproduce that.  The mouse click areas still work.

But I can't explain the little back square that only appears when you undock the window.

I'll look at it more.

Thanks for the report.

Okay, I figured it out 🙂

Here's the solution.

Locate your panel.cfg for the PMDG 737.  You can open it with notepad.

Mine is here:

C:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737-800NGXu\panel\panel.cfg

Change:

window16=FS2Crew Secondary Panel

to:

window26=FS2Crew Secondary Panel

at the very bottom of the panel.cfg, change:

[Window16]

to

[Window26]

It must just be some weird window conflict when in undocked mode.  It's strange but the solution works.
