This one was.  They were primarily interested in doing load balancing on their servers, some directed testing of specific features, and our opinions and suggestions.  Any bugs we reported were icing on the cake... and many even got fixed! 😄

From what I have seen and read, Asobo seem very proactive in engaging and working with 3rd party devs to give them the tools and access they need to be able to create what they want to create, rather than what we are used to in that we have to work within the often rigid constraints of what current sims offer...

Been pointing out now a gazillion times, and still the (too) few skidmarks that they have still seem to be layered below the runway markings. Geez. I bet no fix before release.

It's all a matter of perspective . For myself, I've honestly seen very few so-called trolls. I have seen a lot of leet simmers laying down the law in excruciating detail about exactly what must happen before release before they will condescend to consider msfs a true Sim.

I've also seen the obligatory this project is for Tru simulation fans only sort of talk, along with how the people who don't agree should go back to their games and Xboxes, Etc.

Since there are an awful lot of gamers and regular folks invited to the official Alpha and beta forums, that's not necessarily going over quite as well as when preaching to the choir and to True Believers in an Enthusiast forum........

Rendering scale changes the ingame resolution to a lower or higher one without changing the current screen resolution. Setting that to, lets say 50% on 1080p res, it means that the game's engine is rendering in real time at 540p and thus, the game will run smoother.

No problem. As you can see, asobo, as a modern video game company has pretty much thrown every modern graphical technique available into the SIM.

Lots and lots of settings to play around with.

do you hear the aircraft when you're on ground and above is a plane at a 35.000ft? in RL you hear that plane very clearly.

I think one of the official videos showed occlusion of sound due to terrain, so maybe you'll hear that aircraft at FL350 if it's quiet on the ground, no wind etc etc?

I have heard people claiming to have found and be messing with such a thing. This scared the word not allowed out of me, and I backed away slowly. I have no intentions of replicating my under the hood experiences with our current Sims in this new one.
