Could someone kindly help me sort this joystick out that each time I touch a button assigned for FS2Crew, it keeps switching off the AP.

Windows 10 x64 Pro; FSX SP2; PMDG MD-11F; FS2Crew Button

No doubt you have this button mapped to A/P disconnect in FSX. Likely it's a default mapping. You just need to unmap it.

Thanks for your reply, but I have just checked and there are no Logitech joystick buttons assigned to anything A/P. Just button 3 and button 4 for the Main Button and Secondary Button on FS2Crew Button Version assignments. Each time I press Button 3 to respond as per the FS3Crew, it just disconnects the A/P. I think it's the null zone sensitivity but I have no idea to set it

Which aircraft(s) - only the MD-11?  If so, maybe the MD-11 has a Hot Key assignment built in that matches the FS2Crew button.

And what is the FS2Crew assignment for this button?

Do you use FSUIPC?

Thank you for your reply too, Al.

Yes, I do use FSUIPC4, but it also happened with the PMDG J41 too. But, never mind, because I have now sorted it out.

Love these 'never mind' statements! These should be replaced with a statement along the lines of 'Thank you' for trying to help me sort out my issue but I . . .

Lets not forget to thank members trying to help us.

Regards,

JJ

Good to hear you got things working.

I'd like to suggest that it is always good to 'close the loop' and post what the 'fix' was, no matter how simple. That way this thread may help someone else who happens to run into a similar problem at some point.
