Hey guys - I am a long time user of the A-320/319x but never got the 321 as I took a year off from the sim.  I reinstalled V5 a month ago and I'm back in the 320. Is the 321 worth getting?  I know there are some differences but need somebody to kick me over the edge and talk me into it...😅

It’s down to personal taste, the 319 is a pocket rocket, 320 the sweet spot, the 321 is and feels bigger, you have to rotate very slowly and because of its size it’s imo the easiest to nail a great landing.
Not sure there is a kill reason to buy, no more than to buy the 319. All 3 are different and you already know how different the 319 feels over the 320 and it’s like wise with the 321.

I'm still on 4.5HF3 and do not plan to move to 5.0 until LM finishes the TS and polish DX12 issues. Hence, my question is whether I need those v5-intended updates in v4. Do they bring anything new to the v4.5

Thanks

The release notes indicate fixes relevant to v4 as well.

Not sure this installation is a big deal since it does not require livery reinstallation...

Regarding V5.  For me it has been a fantastic upgrade.  My trouble airports in bad weather are no longer trouble.  IE, Boston/JFK/ can now easily hold my locked frame rate regardless of weather or AI/Vatsim AI.  EA needs some work and PBR/lighting.  But I'm not currently sold on msfs.  There is a lot of promise there of course.  But from what I've seen the verdict is out.  I value smoothness in a sim more than anything.  I can't determine MSFS will provide that right now.  But luckily in just a few weeks, we will know.  But I've been doing the flight sim thing for a long time.  Just because something is "the new platform" does not mean it's going to be the best platform for me.  But without question I hope it is everything and more that we think it could be. In the meantime I'll enjoy flying the A321 around. And the others.

I am not sure about upgrading the v4.5 version.  I suspect there is no harm and also you won't notice any difference.

A bit better.

Interesting, thanks!

By the way, I noticed you have 7.1 GB of VRAM available with an 8GB card. I only have 6.7 according to P3D V5. Is there something I can do to increase it?

Are you running Windows 10 2004 update? When I updated, I went from 6.7 to 7.1 with my RTX 2070!

Nope, not yet! That's great news, though. Will update ASAP.

Upgrading to V5 is dangerous, for you will never be able to go back to anything prior, including P3D V4.5.

I'm still completely blown away by Enhanced Atmospherics/trueSKY, even though the implementation is still in beta. Performance increases are certainly there. Default airports have been updated and upgraded. Just so many major changes, and the best of it: a great deal of the most popular addons have been made compatible for free. I am looking forward more to P3D V5.1 (and subsequent) than MSFS.
