Those are my 2 upgrade options coming from a 1060, budget and power supply which I can't change limit my choices, it would be for those 2 cards, should I go for faster VRAM or more VRAM for v5? In my current use I never exceed 5GB of VRAM usage but I'm wondering if it's because my 1060 is trying its best not to go beyond and thus losing performance. Thanks!

8GB is just barely enough for v5. Can’t imagine going any lower.

You want 8 gig plus, but didn’t you already ask this question?

Edit: I thought I might be getting deja vu, so I checked - you posted this question yesterday and got plenty of answers!

8 gig wasnt enough with v4 in vr for me.  v5 + vr requires huge amounts of vram

11 gig is nice, but it really depends what you are doing. I'm currently using 3.4/10 in v5 right now.So you could make 8 work if you're careful with scenery and sliders.

Honestly I think 8gb of VRAM is barely able to keep up with V5 with some intensive add-ons right now!

I would go for the 11GB, or better yet, wait for the 24GB 3080ti cards to release!

Q4 of this year AMD will release their new RX series - 5120 Cores, 24 GB HBM2e Memory, 2 TB/s Bandwidth. Eat this Nvidia 😁. And I would not be surprised for less money than a 2080ti

Some of these replies are a tad misleading. Yes, 8gb+ is needed in v5 for getting the most eyecandy, but with VR, that should not be the main concern. If you are going to fly solely, in VR, you'll need turn down settings that offer little return in lieu of more performance. (Extended draw, tons of objects, and high res textures won't matter since even the best goggles can't render them in high detail)

Bottom line is the 2060 is a better card despite having less vram because it's architecture is newer and faster. Your VR experience overall will be more enjoyable, provided you set your expectations to match. Good luck.

Sorry disagree with you with V5 you really need 11gig minimum , no amount of tuning will get that vram level down enough, unless you fly stock P3D and no add ons . This is especially true with single pass . A minimum PD of 1.5 required for a clearish image and that will eat your vram . If you can compromises with a blurry cockpit and poor visuals no hdr or dynamic lighting . 8gig does not cut it had to sell my 2080 and buy a second hand 1080ti to run with settings I am happy with . Even with that have to be careful not to trip the system entering and exiting VR. There seems to be a bug causing the digi hung error if dynamic lighting is on and you exit VR a least on single pass.

Just want to point out that this is YOUR personal minimum and not a hard fast rule.
