Recommended Posts

Hope anyone can help

Last night installed model converter X now when I run the FS9.exe it freezes on the splashscreen and says it has stopped working.use the no CD patch. not sure whathas caused it. Could it be the Aircraft models Iooked at running Converter. Also deleted the CFG and it still failed

When I run as administrator it opens but with no scenery or my history. Running on Windows 8.1

Can any one help. below is the text from event viewer. would appreciate anything. FS9 is my current stress reliever during real stressfull times

Or, get back to us when your sober. ModelConverterX is about scenery design. NOT AIRCRAFT. I'll probably get warned for pointing out the obvious.

Maybe delete the fs9.cfg

The sim will rebuild a new one when restarting. This has often helped when I had issues.

You will have to redo your key assignments.

Hi All

Has anybody recently had problems loading FS9?. Mine stopped working after windows 10 update KB5026361 a couple of weeks ago. Have tied the usual fixes mentioned in the forums (reinstalling the 'No CD' patch, windows troubleshooter for compatibility settings etc) but no luck. I just get the splash screen and lots of disc activity but program becomes non-responsive. I am running windows 10 32 bit version.

Many thanks

Hi All

I have fixed this by doing a reinstall using the original discs and then adding the 'no cd' patch. Just need to sort out the scenery library, but all my add-on aircraft and scenery are still in place. I did not uninstall the original installation so using the discs appears to have repaired FS9. Also the upgrade to v9.1 has not been affected.

Best regards
