P3dv4.5 HF3 update question

hi all,

I am currently still using p3d v4.5 hf2. If I update to hf3, do I need to update all my add on airports and programs such as active sky and asca?

If you uninstall and then reinstall the P3D Client module *only*, then your add-on scenery should be left intact.  You'll want to re-run the HiFi ASConnect installer again after the Client install...other than that the ASP4/ASCA config should be OK.

That said, backing your system up prior to such an update is a really good idea.

I updated (Uninstalled/downloaded client.msi/installed) just the client to the current Version (which I assume is HF3) available on the LM P3D website, and things did not work correctly.  (My P3Dv4.5 HF2 installation had become corrupt during my instrument panel upgrade, so that may have been why).  Anyway, I downloaded/installed the entire P3D software and was pleasantly surprised to see that I did not have to do much of anything with regards to my add on scenery/aircraft it was all still intact!  Go figure.  I should probably mention that I had, a few years ago, moved all of my scenery to outside the sim folder.

Where is HF3? I see no reference to it prepar3d.com. only HF3. Thanks.

P3D v4.5.14.34698 is also known as P3Dv4.5 Hotfix 3
P3D v4.5.13.32097 is also known as P3Dv4 5 Hotfix 2

The P3D v4 version available for download now on Prepar3D.com is HF3.

P3D v5 is currently on HF2.
