P3Dv5 ATC conflicting with RC ATC...

Recommended Posts

Just completed a flight into Newark (KEWR) which had pretty intensive traffic going in and out!

The P3D ATC was very intrusive and made life difficult trying to concentrate on MY instructions from RC!

Is there a way to 'disable' the P3D 'default' ATC?

I already have the three ATC boxes (Options) NOT checked so don't understand where the interference is coming from...

Can't see anything in the P3D folders that might be relevant.

Ken 😉

Ken, I don't have P3Dv5 yet but under Sounds there should be an option for ATC Sound. Reduce the volume slider to 0 but keep the voice option activated. That should keep default ATC silent.

Thanks, Ray ~~~

slightly different but you gave me the right direction...

In v5 Options\Sound\ the third on the list is "Slide to the right to increase voice-over headset volume".

I mistook that to be a reference only for headset/Vatsim (etc) which I don't use.

However, reduced my 50% volume to zero and that worked but then I started feeling lonely up there 🙂

I found a setting of 25% gives me a comfortable level of AI chatter (behind the normal level of RC audio) to relieve the loneliness of the long distance flyer 🙂

My longest flight 'ever' ~~~ KEWR - BGSF at 4hrs-34 mins just completed ~~~ really chuffed!

Ken 😉

Hi Ken. Glad that worked for you. It all depends on what Ai traffic program you’re using. With AIGs I’m rarely alone up there except when pond hopping in Concorde. 😄

Ray, sorry to change the topic but could you point me to this AIG traffic program?  First I hear of it.

Thanks

Jim
