Nice analysis of performance.

Recommended Posts

Even on medium, settings, better than many games out there.

11:16 for performance analysis.

I wonder if CPU clock speed or cores are needed more?

Another video:

What's interesting is he comments on the download speed. I wonder if one made a pass over LA, it would cache, then the 2nd pass would be better FPS?

Lots of scenery popping/morphing and stutters.

Looks like the graphics card is being heavily utilised. Gets nice and toasty.

I'm wondering how my EVGA 980 Ti classified will handle it. At 1080P. I'm thinking medium settings as I find low frame rate intolerable.

So, will an MSI GTX 1080Ti suffice, Martin?

Dunno. I'm wondering about my 980 Ti. I'm okay for CPU, as I have a delidded 8700K that will do over 5 GHz. Not sure about card though. I think it might be fine at my 1080p res but will have to see.

I have16 GB of RAM, could probably afford more if beneficial. Any other upgrades are out of question for me at the moment.

The GTX 980 Ti performs a little worse than the GTX 1070, so it should be somewhat better than the GTX 1060 in the Digital Foundry video. At 1080p in other games, its performance is roughly 20% higher.

What about if I inject it with Nandrolone? Or feed it some Viagra pills?

There was a YouTuber showcasing his media version said he was running a 1080ti on max settings and was getting solid 35-40 FPS.

If you are experiencing, uhm, performance issues, it might be worth a try.

Thanks for that. That's a relief to know as mine is still in it's brand new box still not seen daylight waiting for this 'Heaven's Gate' MSFS20.

your fps will vary based on the plane you are flying and where you are flying. (it that wasn't obvious)

As much as I like airboyds videos (the fracking frame rate video author). He's the only one having serious issues with performance. Everyone else seems to have solid performance for the most part. I wonder why.
