It's pretty good, but they need to make it possible to set presets for individual planes that are easily switched between. The power to put the camera where it needs to be is already there. It just needs a few more features.

The drone function is incredibly powerful though and content creators will have a blast with it.

Working with a certain scenery designer, we were expected to cover absolutely huge areas looking for errors, but the camera system was apparently designed by a sadist.

I would have enjoyed using this, a lot more.

Looks good, very nice system with a lot of cool functions. Hopefully there will be a replay system to really allow creative use of it.

I noticed there's no save feature to make custom views in the cockpit, and we need to be able to also bind the views...otherwise this will get quite bulky for everyday use.

There is a cockpit camera saving system. Pretty similar to X-Plane’s implementation.

I love how most of the stuff that we rely on 3rd party add-ons is already built into the sim! The camera function and flight planner look very user friendly and seems like you can do so much with the drone. I really hope they will improve the camera features to make it like Chaseplane where we can have presets, and different types of effects like wind, turbulence, head movements, etc.

Anyone remember f1view.zip? It was this .dll that let you use your mouse wheel to go forwards/backwards in FS2004....was always the first thing I downloaded when I did a fresh install of FS!

Just checking, can you assign hotkeys (keyboard keys) to move about the views both inside and external to make switching faster?

I’ve toyed a lot with my P3D camera system for my video doodles and  I can see that the new one is one order of magnitude superior, starting with the fact that you can manage it in game. With a good replay system,  that will be a joy to do videos.

Finally an in-depth look into the camera system. I would have liked more options for the external camera though, like the ability to change its position vertically and turn off the smoothing which I think I'm liking less and less the more footage I see.

Not one video shows a full unrestricted forward view from the cockpit- looks like every view is either from within the VC or spotview. I like to be able to see the whole outside world

can you tell us if it's plane specific or will we need 100's of presets, I can't believe the presets in the 150 will be effective in the 747.

Plane specific. There are videos on YouTube showcasing that.

Functionality-wise, it's very similar to ChasePlane.
