But I'm aware that there are still folks hanging onto their Windows 98 version so they can run that old scanner they got at a yard sale.

LOL

I’m entitled to my opinion, simple as that. I don't expect anyone to care what I think and it doesn’t bother me.

However, don’t try to silence differing opinions that you don’t like.

There’s too much of that in the world as it is at the moment.

Yeah then it works both ways, take a taste of your own medicine then.

You know the saying: you can't cross a chasm in two steps. I feel that a new era in flight sim is just around the corner. So why hang on to the old stuff?

Deleted P3D4 and all addons from my PC.

I deleted my entire P3D install and addons.... saved like 180 GB LOL.

now - that is dramatic!

a Samsung 4TB Evo SSD will save your butt,

no way am i uninstalling P3D v4 or 5 (it’s not even 5.1 yet),

oh, & highly immersive VR - right now - with P3D, XP, DCS, AFS2, & IL-2.

4TB Evo?  No way....  I already spent 120 on a 1TB.

Maybe when I do a whole new build....  P3D is ancient tech.  I use XP11 and I'll use the new sim.  I've played them all but I can't handle the space requirements for all at the same time.

I meant to reinstall p3d on my new rig.  after 20--30 hours into the reinstall process I gave up.  not worth it.  I know this will not happen, but I would really really like one unified install for add ons.  if MSFS becomes a patchwork quilt of 30 different installers, serials, copyright "DRM" programs, etc... I may just not buy anything unless its on the MS store, and definitely not anything to do with "couatl" or "addon manager".

My new sim rig came with 2TB SSD and 3TB HD. I have to keep P3Dv4 and 5 installed because I'm still involved developing aircraft for them. I put them on the 3TB HD and am reserving the 2TB HD for MSFS.

MSFS will be an entirely different pipeline using different SDK tools,
