Seasons... or just snow?

Recommended Posts

Are any testers out there able to confirm whether or not MSFS default scenery alters with seasons (and not just the addition of snow, which I'd classify as "hard winter")? I'm hoping to see leaves-off in winter, bright greens and blossom in spring, deeper greens in summer and reds, yellows and browns in autumn..

If so, could you post some screenshots or videos please?

Many thanks

I'm not a tester but I could have sworn this was briefly discussed in another thread somewhere and they said, no, seasons haven't made it in just yet. But I'm not 100% certain, it could just be my covid-brain talking, heh.

Don't feel sad, there's 10 years of supported development ahead, so who knows what magic they could bring us in that time 🙂

Long before you'll have them in XPlane! 😄

Does XPlane even have snow??

The snow is enough for me although it would be nice to see the fall colors on the trees. I'm sure Asobo will add seasons in the near future.

Snow is certainly a good hold over until we get full seasons.  Flying around in the dead of winter without snow on the ground would be severely immersion breaking for me...this was one of the things that drove me nuts about X-Plane.

Im sure he means default. There’s are two addons that do a shader based and texture based snow effect, but it’s not default and it’s not exceptionally well implemented.

You have to wait on 18. August. Testers doesn't have the same build, what we will get when release. I'm thinkink, that ASOBO prepare some surprise to final version.
