WALKING in MSFS2020

Recommended Posts

We've seen a lot of outstanding videos the past few weeks about flying in MSFS2020. But here's a great video about walking around in the new sim. It's far more interesting than you probably think. I might also add that, even those simmers with truly antique computers can nonetheless enjoy the scenery at Ultra resolution when you're slowly strolling around on foot. Frame rates don't really matter. I've been a tester from Day One, and some of my most enjoyable experiences have been sitting beside a river or lake and letting the real-world weather create an atmosphere for me. Sometimes it starts to rain, and high winds stir up frightening waves. The sound is quite immersive as well in the new sim. So if you've ever wanted to just abandon civilization and move to a mountaintop in Tibet, Buddha Simulator MSFS2020 will take you there.

Looks great, Palace of Westminster looks a bit aneamic, but other than that, it's visually impressive.

Bit cack that you can't open the doors on the aeroplanes. I presume this means you can't take the doors off the 152A, which is one of the useful things you can do with it that differentiates it from the standard 152, and since the 152A is in the Deluxe version, that doesn't seem very 'deluxe'.

But other than this minor gripe, looks great.

My bush flying excursions are going to last a lot longer now 🙂 Think I'll pack my fly rod and maybe some personal protection. I hear encountering grizzlies is a possibility?

This opens up so many possibilities. Definitely able to go on our dream vacation and tours from the comfort of our own seats! This is a great time for 3rd party devs to create detailed and realistic looking landmarks, cities, sceneries so that we can explore from a 1st person view!

So could you, for instance walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, or climb up the Empire State Building?

Love how natural the weather and fog looks in the mountains from the ground view. No more fake fog effect.

Tell you what would be cool. You fly your Cub to a lake somewhere. Get out, walk down to the lake and you load up your DLC MS Fishing Simulator, or your Golf Sim or whatever.

He also did a video in the Caravan and showed this same method of "walking" around the cabin. Very cool. It would be a sin to not be able to do this with the awesome quality that even the default aircraft present.

Think of the virtual plane spotting you could do with Live ATC and getting real aircraft and airlines in the sim.

As soon as VR gets implemented I'm doing it!
