October 25, 200619 yr These are some of the bugs I've run across in FSX's logbook recently. Will send off link to thread to 'tellfs'. Would have been nice if FSX could have had a few months for bug squashing, but what can you do. Now, I only hope there will be a bugfix patch out before the DX 10 patch. Anyway, on to the bugs.1. In the logbook, your starting point wont isn't added unless you put yourself at a starting airport in a specfic order(and corresponding flight plan). See #22. Bug #1 is confirmed and work aroundable (for IFR Flights) by doing the following: a. In the 'Free Flight' selection, select 'current location'. Pick your Airport and starting location. Click ok b. Then click on 'Flight Planner', click 'select' button for departure location. Then click 'ok' button(airport and starting spot should already be filled in). Then choose you destination airport, plan type & routing. c. After saving flight plan to your HD, it will ask you to Move your aircraft to departure airport, click 'yes'(clicking 'no' results in #1).3. If per chance while your flying and you go into the 'aircraft selection' menu(I did it for a quick hop out of the simulator to clear some texture coruption.), I hit the ok button even though I didn't change planes it now created a seperate log entry. Ugh!4. If you fly into MKJP (Norman Manley Intl. Kingston, Jamaica it will list the airport as MKBS (Boscobel Airport Ohco Rios, Jamaica).
October 25, 200619 yr My logbook file was already corrupt after some 15 entries. There were no flights added anymore. I deleted the (corrupt) logbook file and FSX built a new one which seems (until now) to be correct. For the record: I did not fiddle with the file 'logbook.bin'.Jozef K. http://homepages.onsnet.nu/~jkusters/signature.jpg
October 25, 200619 yr Author I got you beat. It happened to me after only 4 flights I believe. Corruption seemed to happen easier cause I was "tweak flying" a lot, and deleting those instead of leaving them in the log. The log in the picture is the 2nd, which is backed up after every flight.
