A big "thank you!" to Asobo/MS before all the whining starts

Recommended Posts

I agree with OP. Thank you for developing what looks to be the best flight simulator ever developed. Taking into account virtually every request the simming community has been asking for over the last few decades. Making the dream of flying in a real world a reality. I have been simming since the first version of MSFS on 5 1/4 floppy disks. I have owned every version of MSFS and also X-plane 9 to 11. I have to say, this is a marvel and I cant wait to fly it!

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

Thank you to the current leadership of Microsoft and Xbox who realized the potential of this historic franchise that previous leadership decided to throw away.

Absolute standing ovation to the work that has been done already.  Finally a generational leap forward in flight simulation.  Its what we have all been waiting for.  It even has more profound meaning when you'v been apart of Microsoft Flight Simulator since its very early days in the 80s.  Yea there will be a whole bunch of people who will tear down every little problem, thats expected. Those kind of people like to see things fail. But for the vast majority, we will embrace it for what it is , and grow and watch it mature.  There will be lots of fixes, optimizations and enhancements in the months and years ahead. Constructive criticism along with bountiful praise is what really moves things forward. Really excited for it.  Thanks for the opportunity to be a part of it.

Ditto. It’s a generational leap in digital entertainment that will form a yardstick for a while I think. I think the reviews today have shown how much this is crossing over too I think. It will be very interesting to see how much this sells over the next few weeks, and then how much more of a community it fosters, and what impact that has.

Also, well done microsoft for showing faith in a relatively small development house to produce something so stunning too.

Nice post 🙂I agree with you totally. Even a grumpy like me who does not like photo-scenery is amazed by what we now have in this spectacular new sim.

But at the same time I have to say the whining comes with the territory and its what gives our admittedly very nerdy forums their character 😁

Simmers having a good natured grumble 😤 is part of the fun!.

In a 100 years from now when flight sims are full motion Star Trek holodecks you'll still find that ONE SIMMER who says they got the lights on the Airbus A8000 wrong 😛

Altough I don`t like the physics of the jet airliners from my viewing standpoint . I have read the reviews with its excellent ratings and I have to say:

Congratulations to Asobo. They pushed many things to the next level. Looking forward how physics will be improved, altough I would have preferred if the pyhsics had the the highest order in the development. Looking very much forward to premium add-on jet airliners.

Graphics are top level based on what current hardware delivers, I thought the game would run 30fps with a 2080Ti on HD resolution.

Also thank you to Aces Studio, as this sim is built upon it.

Whether intentional or not, this thread is somewhat disingenuous in that it combines the noble gesture of thanking the developer, together with an attempt at prejudicing future critical commentary and labelling it as "whining" etc.

So, I'm going to close it.  If someone wants to open a "Thank You, Asobo" thread dedicated to that purpose, feel free.
