Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 will not work on this device

You tried launching the game from the Start menu and clicking on the Flight Simulator icon?

Just have a black screen when I do!

I have the same screen, except I haven't attempted an install yet because of this. It seems like that was a wise choice seeing the issue you are having now.

I'm not sure how I actually fixed it as I tried a number of things and hit "PLAY" until the game loaded and I was notified an update was needed to play the game.  The update downloaded and installed in the game shell and was approx 95 gigs...

 

I'm guessing the MSFS servers were stressed and busy as heck today!
