Is there any way to turn the hud off while in external view?

I think you have to create a custom view , don't think you can toggle.

Settings > General > Camera then go down to Chase Camera and switch off Instrument Heads up Display

Steve beat me to it. There's not a 'toggle' option for assigning a key press or controller button as far as I can see.

Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

Print Screen takes an image and puts in it the PC memory, but then you have to have an application you can use to paste it.  it doesn't create a file the way pressing v did in FSX/P3D.

I turned the HUD off, but now I cannot switch back into the cockpit when going outside... None of my custom views are accessible in external view anymore. Kinda random - it works when the hud is there...

I like the HUD.  No issues. 😉

Ah it wasn't listed alphabetically in my windows explorer so thats why I couldn't find it. Found it now, but win + prtscreen gives a picture of all my screens. I just want the one I'm playing msfs on 🙂

Really wish the HUD can be assigned a key to toggle it on or off.
