LOL!  Unfortunately, you cannot tune an MSFS aircraft by ear.  Something I miss from P3D.  I don't know if this can be fixed, at least by us.

Because the flight modeling in terms of feel is really good and for most people that matters a lot. Aircraft performance data might be off and that's another discussion.

Some of us did cross check performance via POH and numbers weren't that bad in some GA

Seems like this is how it happens on real aircraft, or you wouldn't be advancing the mixture beyond max power to get additional cooling.

Not something I've ever had to worry about in the real world though.

And we know for a fact that in the real world the engine might not start, even at sea level, with the mixture set to full rich.

It's been a while since ive been flying in real life but I would pull the mixture out till I heard the rpm drop and then do two turns back off the mixture! Flying got so expensive 😞 Saving my money for Gold and Silver! The writing is on the wall!

Great, then the flight dynamics aren't trash or garbage as a few people have said! So of course people will get defensive when others make blanket statements.

Honestly, the hyperbole around the sim and especially the default planes is getting on my nerves.

I'll take the impressions of some actual private and commercial pilots over the AVSIM experts any day.

There we many truly professional people on the alpha/beta (many of them from Avsim) who did an amazing job of reporting issues in the alpha/beta. Just because they were reported does not guarantee that they were incorporated into the release.

I was in the alpha from the start and no stone was left unturned in regards to reporting issues.

The lack of coms between the devs and the testers was issue. They should have fixed bugs before inviting hordes new beta testers. I could not follow the logic....

Probably something about it being only as good as it had to be for the target market... which wasn't us.  Is it good enough for the first time simmer from the general gaming community?  Probably.

It might even be good enough for me, the serious casual simmer.  I found the aircraft pleasant to fly over some incredible scenery.  High fidelity flight models?  Nope.  Did it matter?  Nope.  Will I buy an A2A Aerostar the first day it's released?  Yup! 😄

It's just the level of outrage here on the forum that's ridiculous.

Isn't this supposed to be AVSIM, the forum where everyone is aware that a new sim is like a fine wine, taking years to reach a level adequate for the rivet counters?

Reddit seemed to have the more mature users yesterday. 

Just fly the sim - it’s great.

Im sure nobody will be going back to P3D or X-Plane which says it all.

I get bored of VFR simming in minutes unless it's real life. I need a mission or challenge. That where IFR kicks my word not allowed! With every new beta I would load up a VFR flight and hit Direct to the nearest airport and try and load up procedure with no success.
