Hello,

I would like to know the location of the .exe file as well because at the moment I can only launch the sim from Microsoft Store and I would like to create a shortcut on the desktop.

Thank you.

Unfortunately MS Store doesn't let me download the game (for whatever reason). But as far as I know, Apps you install from the MS Store don't have exe-Files. They are more or less just apps that just work with the Store itself. But I may be wrong. But its the same with other Apps from MS Store, so I guess thats it.

Do programs still have exe files?

To create a shortcut, go to your Start menu and drag it / pin it from there.

Download 'Everything', an invaluable search tool under Windows 10, much faster compared to Windows' own search and will show absolutely everything, then you just search out flightsimulator.exe

Should be when you search for it in Start menu or find it inside the task manager and > properties.

Thank you for your replies.

The search in Win 10 returned no results, and I wasn't able to access the properties in the task manager.

Found it! FlightSimulator.exe in the folder above. I swear I did a search on the whole drive for FlightSimulator.exe and it didn't find it!

Thanks!

Hmmm ... that file is zero bytes in length here...

In folder "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.7.12.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe" is another "FlightSimulator.exe" with 278502 bytes (only the folder is found using "Search Everything", btw.)
