Silly question, but HOW do you take a screenshot?

Recommended Posts

(from within the cockpit)

Can't find it in controls->keybindings, or on Google, and the "old" keys to do it doesn't work. I'm missing something obvious somewhere, but can someone help me out please? 😛

I just use Alt+Print Screen and paste the image into imgur/discord or whatever image host I want to use it in (if it supports pasting)

Thanks lads. Winkey+PrtScr works great with the game bar!

I assumed their would be a simple method, surely there must be.

The problem I have with listed methods is that I use a second screen for instructions etc. When I use Winkey+PrtScr I get both screens n the picture.

I’ve been wondering about this, too. Simple answer seems to be “you can’t take a screenshot with the program”. That’s a pretty dumb design decision - i’m bemused that Asobo have left out features like this that were in the last MS Flight sim, and which were widely utilised.

As someone who doesn’t have a “print screen” key on my keyboard, it’s far from ideal. I work around it with 3rd party programs (Snagit, in my case), but that means i’m running an extra app when i’m trying to fly.

Suboptimal design decision.

Does using the Win+Prt Scr method actually save the screenshot?

Alt+F1 with Nvidia. It saves each screenshot.

I changed that in Nvidia Experience to F10 key (like the good old FRAPS - still use it for ingame FPS)

Yes, the windows key + print screen method saves the screenshots in the same manner that hitting the “v” key in P3D did.  In fact a separate “screen shot” folder is created in whatever folder “pictures” are being saved in Windows 10.
