You have to go into the options menu and turn on developer mode. That will give you a menu bar while you are flying and there you can switch on the FPS counter.

I have an issue with this as once it is displayed, it stays on when i exit dev mode? Only way to remove it is to remain in dev mode and turn it off. As soon as I quit dev mode, with fps display turned off, it reappears again.

Yeah that happens to me sometimes as well - turn off dev mode, and restart the game. That fixes it. It's annoying though.

I've found that the Windows Game Bar also shows accurate FPS (at least when I compared it to dev mode). Access via Win+G.

Intel Core i7 8700k clocked to 4.6GHz, GTX1080Ti, 32GB DDR4 RAM, MSFS installed on NVMe drive, Windows 11, Dell 27" 60Hz Monitor + Dell 24" 60Hz Monitor. Resolution 1920x1080. Game Mode on, GPU scheduling enabled (Win11). MSFS settings: High-End for airlines, Ultra for GA.

"Shift - Z" is working for me (without my making any changes in the downloaded state of Developer Mode). Pressing these the first time brings up the coordinates; pressing it a second time brings up fps.

Or perhaps, I'm misunderstanding the question,

Brian

This is the forum for MFS (2020). The key sequence that you referenced pertains to FSX & prior versions. There are indeed separate forums for FSX users and for the users of other flight sims.

Can you let us know what that function is called in the keyboard mappings?  Lots of us have been looking for this and been unable to find it.
