VirtualFly TQ6+, no reverse range

Recommended Posts

I have not been able to get my VirtualFly TQ6+ throttle quadrant to work properly with the new simulator.  It does not go to idle unless I pull the throttle, prop or mixture below the reverser detent.  Also, in Jets and Turboprops there is no reverse range for the throttle.  Is this not a supported function in the simulator?  I have not been able to actually use it yet since I have no way to properly use my throttle quadrant.

How did you do this assignment in P3D?  In P3D I did this through FSUIPC.  There is a beta version of FSUIPC7 now available that you could try.  There's also a thread elsewhere in this forum on the same topic and the poster there contacted virtualfly and they sent him an "in-development" version of their configurator that can fix the issue also.

You will need to get in contact with Virtual-Fly. I sent them an inquiry through their website since they had not yet posted updated configuration software for the TQ6+. They responded very promptly via email with a development copy of the software to try. It works well except for an Unhandled Exception when you close the sim.  I tried it with the C152 and I had access to the full throttle range of the aircraft, and then with the King Air I could use the reverse detent. You may want to contact Virtual-Fly, I am sure they will send you the app to test and provide feedback. The more users give them feedback, the sooner they will fix any bugs and release.

You will need that app running in the background to get the proper throttle detent calibrations, you can't do it through the MSFS controller setup. You don't even have to assign controls, the app injects the throttle, prop and mixture to the correct assignments.

If FSUIPC is like previous versions, you can also use it to configure the throttle ranges.

Thanks for the reply.  I did get the beta from VirtualFly.  Like you said respinded real fast.  Throttles work great now.  Also checking out the FSUIPC beta, but seems to be a bit bugggy still.  Once FSUIPC gets the bugs worked out, I will probably switch over to it as it can use my profiles from P3D.

I did the same and can confirm it’s working well.  I’ll also likely switch back to fsuipc when the kinks are ironed out.
