Why aren’t Catholic Churches being modeled?

I went sight-seeing to visit the beautiful churches of my faith, but I’m a little disappointed.

Let's just say the question came up in the Beta, and no one had an answer.  It's not like they're refusing to depict religious topics, although that idea did come up once.  In the mean time, check out the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio.

Churches, temples, mosques... they're all coming.  You just have to, you know... have faith! 😄

The Blue Mosque in Istanbul (and the Hagia Sophia) are well modelled

Go and see if they have Mosques modeled. That will tell you if its a conscious choice.

Oops. I see the post above mine tells the tale.

There are several religious buildings modelled all over the planet.

I saw Jebus (Unable to spell it correctly) in Rio. But not seeing any Hindu Temples in India either.

I didn't see any religious buildings in China. Oh yeah...that is accurate. Nevermind! The CCP removed all of them 🙂

When I took off from the Niagara Falls airport, I was surprised to see a cathedral.  I'm guessing it was part of the photogrammetry of the city.

Why isn’t notre dame modeled then since Paris had hands on attention? I’m just curious. At one point I just wondered if they didn’t want religious buildings in the game at all. But I found a few so I didn’t understand what the reasons were

Yes, I was stunned by Notre Dame's absence!

The Hagia Sophia is not a catholic church....

Didn't see any temples in Japan either. I'm sure they will add these slowly with time.

Dome-topped buildings do not render well in the AI. The Capitol Building in Washington, DC, and my own state capitol building in Charleston, WV, which is modeled after the national capitol building, both have flat tops like a Kohl's department store.

If you get an email with the subject title "Knock, Knock...", don't open it. It's the clean cut guys working from home....😃

Look at the palm trees around Los Angeles.

I have a palm tree in my drive. In the sim, the tree is there, but not as a palm tree. Still, I'm very impressed that they recognized there is a tree there. Now, about the color of my house......

That was one of my first destinations, and it seemed modeled ok.  The stadium still had construction going on when bing snapped the pick though so it’s a mess around the stadium.

Sad to see the USS Arizona Memorial, the USS Bowfin, and USS Missouri not modeled in Pearl Harbor.  Not churches, per se, but sacred ground to most Americans.

Maybe some clever soul could transplant those objects from "Flight" and put them in MSFS. As I recall they were nicely modeled there!
