I have no stutter in this sim, as low (limbo territory, lol) as 22 FPS...no stutter...a great sim engine...blows away ESP! 🙂

LOL!! I was wondering where you have been. I thought you were still floating boats in P3DV5.LOL!!!

yes truly shocking that system resources are relaxed in the middle of nowhere...

However that is not what the majority of users will fly, so it would be an utmost ridiculous PR stunt of Asobo to list 8gb RAM as recommended.

At Barcelona in default A320 my RAM is 13,7gb/16gb.

This thread is borderline misleading.

I really wish I knew how people are getting good performance.  I have a 9700k at 4.8 ghz, 32gb ram, 2080ti, installed on a SSD and it is a stuttering mess.  Even on low settings.  Along with the controller issues with my CH yoke it is unusable.  Why this was released in its current state is beyond me.

Well, if you are getting stutters in relatively unpopulated areas on that setup, then something is wrong.

A few general things that can cause this off the top of my head:

1) USB issues or external HD issues = a conflict or a broken USB device, though usually you would know it from a win notice, but not always

2) Drive Bus Problem = A conflict on the drive bus between a newer SSD drive and an older drive, or between an internal and external drive. Usual symptom is when you go to "My PC" in Windows 10, it will take a long time to list all the drives. In this case, the only usual fix is to remove the older drive. It's basically a driver chatter problem where the old drive floods the DISK bus with control commands that are not responding correctly and causes a blocking thread like issue with the other drive.

3) General performance issue = Run Crystal DiskMark or Passmark, and make sure system is up to spec?

4) Overheating PC causing mass throttling = install fans, etc...

5) Software corruption or just general software problem = Reinstall Sim first, if that doesn't work, consider reinstalling Windows

6) Spyware or any third party software running in the background (less likely but its possible)

That's crazy , I have a 9700k, 32GB ram , and  1080 and it's running fine @ 3440x1440. Devs definitely need to solve this one asap.

We have threads like this with OP gawking over 20+ fps in the forest

We also have threads trashing the sim for 30 fps in new York.

Lol.

Done that...been there...own two T-shirts...have moved on...LOL...and actually, I am waiting for someone to port over the Ferries from Orbx Freeware...!!!! 🙂   While I wait...I'm going to take a virtual swim in this Lake WaWa.....and in real life...we have dozens of times. BTW...it looks EXACTLY as in real life...even the bays...from West to Eastbound..

You were in a tube...I'm showing G.A....the reader can figure some of that out, lol!  If you want to fly what you see here...it can be done...no need to avoid the RTM  'cause a user of P3D and XP11 feels that their older system specs including perhaps, a 6GB Vid series card won't cut it. It will, for flight choices such as I enjoy. My captures prove that.

I have a similar system, see signature, and had same issue until I turned off caching and set Vsync on but with 60 FPS not 30.  I do have a 4K TV that has 30 Hz capability and I hold a very stable 30 FPS and now have very smooth flying even on mostly Ultra settings.

Good luck

The issue for most people is probably something simple, like a corrupted download cache (though this is HEAVILY CRC'd these days). Could be just peoples download speed or connection to a given server, though even when I was losing connections the other day, I didn't see any stutters (so who knows).

Could be video driver related, but I doubt it. I don't think the issue is internal to the game as far as people experiencing stutters, could be a third-party dependency, but even that is extremely rare for any such thing to happen in Win 10.

Best guess is a lot of the issues people are having is because of something with their PC that isn't taxed as much in other games, and now it's bringing it to light, but who knows...

Lol.

This forest and water and the ULTRA detail of it all...takes as much effort to render as city scape with repeating urban scrawl.  Done it...no matter where I've been, I have not even touched in G.A. aircraft 9 GB's of system consumed...in G.A...not tubes... 🙂

I did revert back to 446.14 drivers. I think it helped cant say for sure.

As we all know...there are two camps on AVSIM...dedicated TUBE'ers...and also dedicated G.A.  VFR and IFR operation.  I am showing that for those P3D, XP11  G.A. pilots...they don't have to have a CRAY computer to fully enjoy this sim at pretty serious high end settings...and I feel that I accomplished that, with having a ball doing it!

I am neither, I do both. I don't think XP 11 is dead yet, but I think they need to improve the graphics and especially the horrible trees. If they did that, it has a decent engine. They also need better clouds.

Over NY with Ultra settings  @ 3440x1440 . If this tool is to be believed it's using 16GB of sys memory and will peg all the memory on my card at times.
