Maybe the 737 was the only default plane better in FSX that I recall (if comparing to the airliners we have by default here even though no 737).

Otherwise, the planes in MSFS aren't too bad, excluding some engine issues, but like others said some of us were having controller issues and weird bugs.

The TBM 930 is actually very good in this, but not up to the HotStart standards, but still it's good once my bugs stopped.

I agree with the OP in regards to the default aircraft. This was brought up countless times during the alpha, the scenery and weather is really a step forward (although there are issues with the live weather, things such as clouds popping out of the ground, etc.). I dont know if this was added with the release version, but something that really annoyed me was the fact that I could not load any approaches in the GPS, hopefully that has been corrected.

The flight model on certain aircraft feels like GTA (back in the alpha stalls, spins, etc. was not achievable), I am waiting for good quality payware aircraft until I purchase FS2020.

(for context, I have been flying for 25 years, ATP with 15K+ hours)

There are a lot of problematic planes, but it's not like FSX had stellar default planes either.

At least we have a few good planes here, but the big airliners seem very problematic to me (haven't flown them that much). Also, some issues with planes feeling underpowered and some problems with mixture controls and engine RPM, but overall there are some OK ones, and the modeling isn't too bad in some cases.

I've experienced some very weird physics in some planes, no doubt.

That said, even the Majestic Dash 8 could be forced to do some screwy stuff in FSX if you really wanted to, you could make it go into a never-ending spin. There are issues with all planes in certain situations, even the best payware.

word not allowed, didnt know that. I thought I was simming and now I know I was gaming. My life is upside down and I don't where to go from here...

After a 'Game' flight, you think "put the kettle on."

After a 'Sim' flight, you think "Where's the cafe?"

Think Xbox.

So true, and mostly because the cafe is probably where the closest "little boys' room" is. 😄

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

In which Fsx default plane could you start a APU?

Truth be told I never flown the default planes in FSX or in P3D because I always had 3rd party planes to fly.  When I get the new XBOX / FS2020 I may fly the TBM but hope the 3rd party answers with some nice turboprops,

Cheers

I've already made my feelings on this subject known as have many actual pilots on Youtube. I just want to congratulate you on your clickbait title. Between the ludicrousness of the suggestion and the matter of factness regarding your conclusion, you have succeeded wildly in spite of being 100% wrong. That's an underrated skill, actually. Well done!

You don’t need to be a pilot to notice the totally absurd characteristics on some of the aircrafts. Does a climb rate of rate of 9000 fpm seem reasonable to you?

It’s very obvious you’re not a pilot.

Graphics are great and it’s fun to play around with the content but it’s way too early for many of us to use this as our main sim.

Not for me. I was a devoted FSX fan for 14 years, but it is now history. MSFS is not the main sim, it is the only sim.  I have no absurd climb rates, because I took the trouble to adjust the controls and sensitivity to suit my system. You can too if you care to.

Must admit my original opinion matched the OP's, excepting the likes of the 152 & 172. Then today tried hand flying the TBM, actually feels really good and autopilot actually worked fine.

Then tried the Longitude, which I'd previously had issues with and it worked without problems.

All in all a good afternoon in the virtual air.

Absolute great base for them to build on, obviously lots of bugs to work on, but they pretty much skipped beta, so only to be expected!

@IgorBR Are you referring to THESE aircraft???  🙄

This gave me motion sickness lol. Did he have to spin them around like that 🤢

If I compare default planes from FSX to default planes in MSFS2020, I have to say that FSX wins it. I do not feel like I am flying a simulator, but rather playing a game like GTA V. The sensitivity / reactions of the planes in MSFS2020 are absolutely horrible and make it unplayable on simulation-basis-level. This is for gamers, because gamers do not care and do not even know how the plane should be behaving.

Yes, the scenery is wonderful. If I want to explore and enjoy the world, I choose MSFS2020, but if I want to enjoy operating aircraft, I will prefer FSX for now.

Nonsense.

Poppycock. Everyone knows that Flight Simulator 1.0 (1987) was the best FS. Don't @ me.

Control sensitivity affects aircraft performance? Then I must say, FSX is more realistic 🙂
