C172 (not G1000) ..can't "activate" once destination chosen

Using the C172 steam gauge version.   I can choose a direct to destination without a problem, but when I try to activate it by clicking the ENT button .... nothing happens!   Anyone else having the same problem using that GPS?

It is because the Garmin avionics are currently borked. Workaround is to click In on the center right knob to reactivate the cursor, scroll the outer knob to “Activate?” And then press enter. 
 

This sim is so good with so many things...but I honestly can’t believe Garmin could be too happy with the way that their avionics are represented in the release.
