Store version is DX12?

Recommended Posts

Lol that would be real dirty... though may explain some things! Though for real, Toms Hardware barely knows who Tom is.

All versions are DX11. I have no idea where they got that from.

Strangely they claim they did all their tests on Store version.

Good guidance on settings though.

Tom's hardware claims Store version is DX12 while Steam is DX11:

Lies, all lies. No DX12 yet.

No , think about it. Why would MS do that anyway. Just to create a headache ?

Both version is basically the same, on Steam you download just download some launcher and then you download the rest of it through the MS Servers.

To push their own VR, instead of having people use SteamVR.

Quote from that URL:

You'll also need Windows 10 (build 18362 or later), and for a change even the Microsoft Store version uses DirectX 11. It's more than a bit weird that not even Microsoft, the creators of DirectX, supports DX12 right now. The game is also available on Steam, however, also with DX11 support,

OP is incorrect.
