Real world weather for p3d v5?

Hi all

Im currently having some issues with the beta version of active sky for p3d v5 and wondered what alternatives there are? Ideally I am looking for real world weather that is automatically Put into the sim on a regular basis?

ActiveSky is the best option. I’ve tried others, verifying the METARS with Foreflight, and they aren’t as accurate as ASP.

What do you mean "automatically put into the sim on a regular basis?" That's exactly what ASP3D does depending upon your settings.

Sounds like a simconnect problem. When P3D is running and Active Sky is active, in the upper left corner of the main AS screen, what does it say next to "Connection"? Also, are you using the shortcut for v5 and NOT v4? The shortcut should say "Active Sky P3D (v5)"? Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling?

Be wary of the latest beta as to bridge and simconnect bridging issues.

I am running the previous beta (beta No. 7?), because I couldn't get Beta No. 8 (the latest one) to run.  Perhaps that is the problem the OP is having?  Maybe he can elaborate on what the exact issue is?
