Nice I guess they are testing the waters and seeing how things work?  Or just feeling generous.  Or both

I think that as it is the airport of their company they think it has to be in our sims so we can fly their and collect their offerings.

Cool!  The add-ons for MSFS are growing daily and snow balling!  You can tell how awesome MSFS will be in the future!

After I clicked on the link it opened a new window and took another 30-40 seconds to offer the download. If it isn't doing that they may well be overloaded?

If anyone installs this, make sure to check if the airport is fully functional after installation to prevent problems like we saw from another developer. Things to check:

  • Does the airport appear with a star on its icon on the MSFS world map, indicating it's a handcrafted airport?
  • Does the airport have arrival and departure procedures as well as approaches that can be selected by the avionics of the aircraft and can be assigned by ATC?
  • Does the airport have working Tower / ATC, including all stuff that is handled by ATC inside the sim, like ground services. Do the ground services work when they are requested?
  • Does the ILS work?
  • Do the PAPI lights work?
  • Are the runways correctly numbered?

That’s a small check box in the i game editor, which is probably easily missed. It’s not automatic.

Meh.
Satellite imagery aside, the texturing doesn't look all that different from their XP version of Paderborn.
This doesn't grab my attention nor make for a good an advertisement of Aerosoft's next gen scenery.

I know this airport is free, but they really need to clone a team of Jo Sund-s!!
His upcoming EBBR looks more like the quality of airports that I want to see from Aerosoft.
