OrbX freeware airport pack released for P3Dv5

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure this can be called a 'portover' since it appears that it is the same files with no changes. I would call it a repost.

Have a great weekend!

Not quite sure but, after install, Ground wont give me taxi directions to parking. I just get "Taxi to parking Via the Taxiway"......  I'm going to uninstall and see if thats my issue.

Turns out it was KSBA only thats doing that with or without Orbx. No matter where i parked, Tower gave no direction via taxiways to parking after landing or direction to departing Rnwy.  All other airports i went to are working ok.

Anyone else have issues with large parts of the ground scenery shimmering through at Toronto City Center (CYTZ)? Using openLC NA as well.

I posted a fix at Orbx today. This was collaborative  effort with Bert Pieke, Scott Gridley and myself.

I can't speak to all of the fixes, but the ones I have tried weren't a complete solution. While they corrected some things they created other problems. For instance after the fix, KBTV was missing the main terminal although the jetways remained. I suppose because a blanket exclusion doesn't account for default objects that are intended to remain a part of the scenery; but again I don't know for sure, yet.

For now I am waiting until after the next P3D update to see what LM does with their default airports and then I suppose I may start making my own corrections.

I looked at KBTV again today. I looks like Orbx may have used the default terminal. I have done another exclusion leaving in the terminal. I actually delete each item individually not a blanket exclude. I will check it out in sim and if it looks good, I will post at Orbx.

This version is not great either. You get the terminal but it covering a lot of stuff and some of the jetway. I think I will leave the original post at Orbx. At least you can get to gate.

Sorry
